Gardaí in Letterkenny are investigating an incident of criminal damage at a house in the Oldtown area of the town.

They say that a young male smashed a window of a front porch of a house.

The incident happened on Sunday last, between 5am and 5.10am.

The culprit was wearing dark clothing and white trainers and wore his hood up.

He left the area on foot in the direction of Oldtown Bridge.

Gardaí have asked that anyone who may have information or motorists who might have dashcam footage from the area at the time to make contact with Letterkenny garda station on 074 91 67100.
