A Transition Year ‘mini company’ from St Columba’s College, Stranorlar, has won a number of PE EXPO national titles.

Three TY students, Katie Dowds, Aisling Mullin and Síne Ryan, developed a resource pack for schools and clubs to help strengthen the mindset for players.

Their ‘Mind over Matter’ A3 durable strategic cards and coaches advice infographic can be placed visually within the sporting club, schools or community centres. The pack also includes team or individual wristbands with the logo and QR code linking to inspirational quotes and information from their website.

Their initiative recently won the PE EXPO Senior Sports Psychology project and, to top it off, won the PE EXPO Overall Senior Award.

“This is a fantastic national achievement with 174 projects and 433 students from various schools in Ireland,” a spokesperson for St Columba’s College said.

The girls also won this school year’s St Columba’s Dragons Den, Donegal LEO Digital award.

Packs can be ordered by contacting the Mind over Matter Instagram or Facebook pages.
