Donegal’s Jason Quigley has won his first fight as a professional in Ireland tonight, beating Gabor Gorbics with a 100-90 decision.
Quigley’s triumphant ‘Return’ at the National Stadium in Dublin brings him back to winning ways after 23 months.
The Ballybofey man won every one of the ten rounds of the super middleweight contest against Hungarian Gorbics.
The headline fight was Quigley’s first time back in the ring since his knockout defeat against Demetrius Andrade for the WBO title in November 2021. It was also his first fight on Irish soil since turning professional nine years ago.
After tonight, Quigley’s record moves to 20-2 with 14KO’s.
