Last chance to see the fab ‘Abigail’s Party’ at the Balor!

Travel back to the 1970s as The Butt Drama Circle brings Mike Leigh’s classic Abigail’s Party to the Balor Theatre stage.

Following last night’s full house, tickets are again in big demand for the final performance of the comedy tonight.

Directed by panto star and Highland Radio DJ, Rory Farrell, it features well known local actors including Megan Roberts (Angela), Niall McGonagle (Tony), Michael Given King (Laurence), Kate Boyle (Beverly) and Rachel Akkoç (Susan).

It’s a time of cheese, pineapple and olives on sticks, loud paisley prints and Demis and Roussos.

Aspirational hostess Beverly Moss and her husband Laurence are hosting a drinks party. They have invited their new neighbours – married couple Tony and Angela along with their recently divorced next door neighbour Susan who has been banished from her house as her teenage daughter Abigail is throwing her first party.

The evening starts out awkwardly with Laurence arriving home late from work much to Beverly’s annoyance. Tensions rise as the drinks flow and inhibitions are lost.

Sniping, bickering and drunken dancing ensue as the evening unravels and ultimately descends into utter chaos.

Book your tickets for tonight via the Balor Box Office on 0749131840 or online www.balorartscentre.com
