Greyhound racing is to return to Lifford this evening for the first time in almost three years.
The track was closed in August 2019 after 60 years of racing after it was put up for sale.
But the venue has announced its grand reopening today for what promises to be an ‘unmissable’ return.
A spokesperson said: “On Sunday 2nd April racing returns to Lifford Greyhound Stadium and it will be an evening not to be missed with top class racing, with the 1st race commencing at 6pm.
“So come along to the North West and enjoy an action packed evening of great racing, great food and great craic. Join us for this historic night as we reawaken a sleeping giant.”
Racing will then take place every Friday night from the 7th of April, with the 1st race starting 7.45pm and every Sunday from 6pm.
