A person was taken from Lisfannon Beach in Buncrana yesterday following an emergency.
The incident happened just after 5pm.
Members of the Lough Swilly RNLI were contacted at 5.24pm by Malin Head Coast Guard Radio to assist the National Ambulance Service at the beach.
The volunteer crew helped remove a casualty from the beach to an ambulance and they were taken to Letterkenny Hospital for further treatment.
No further details have been released.
