Spraoi agus Spórt in Carndonagh is inviting applications for the role of Disability & Inclusion Lead.

Spraoi agus Spórt is a multi-award-winning social enterprise providing family, social, recreational, training, educational and enterprise activities, and services.

The Disability & Inclusion Lead will take responsibility, with the support of management, for the day-to-day running of the alternative respite programme. They will provide professional guidance and support to SNAs and group facilitators to enable a high quality of service provision. They will also develop groups and programmes to meet the needs of the local community in the area of disability & inclusion and family support.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree in community work, youth work, family support, social care, social work, nursing, education, or other relevant discipline. Requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office is also essential.

Overall, the Disability and Inclusion Lead will play a critical role in ensuring that Spraoi agus Spórt are meeting the needs of their service users with a disability and that our service provision for children, young people and adults with a disability is grown and developed. This post requires a person-centred approach to service provision and a commitment to promoting service user involvement and participatory practice. 

This post reports to the CEO.
