An Anonymous Art Auction in Ardara has helped raise more than €3,000 for two Donegal charities.
The event, which was organised by local woman Clare Molloy, was held in Nancy’s Bar over the weekend.
Dozens of artists donated works of art anonymously for the auction.
Eager local bidders looking to snap up a piece of art delivered hot and heavy bids on the night.
And despite the many bids, auctioneer Tom O’Loughlin took it all in his stride.
Organiser Clare Molloy said they had a great night and was delighted that both the Ardara Cardiac First Responders and the Bumbleance Children’s Ambulance Service will now share the proceeds of €3,470 raised on the night.
“We had a fantastic night and I just want to say a massive thank you to all the artists for their very unique and wonderful pieces of art.
“To Tommy O’Loughlin as auctioneer on the night, to Aidan McHugh from Ardara Drone and Video for the live recording, to All in Nancy’s Bar for their help in the build-up to the night, and to everyone who came out to support and participate in all the fun of the night. I hope you went home happy with your pieces of art.”
“The names of the artists will be put with the artworks in the next few days, so keep an eye out for that, they may surprise you.”
