Donegal Gardai seize vehicle in diffing clampdown

Gardai in Letterkenny have launched a clampdown following reports of dangerous driving and diffing in Letterkenny.

One car has already been seized as a result of the clampdown.

The car which was seized was deemed to be in a dangerous condition, according to Gardai.

Gardai posted pictures of the vehicle which had a bald tyre and broken wing mirror.

The clampdown follows complaints from members of the public.

A Garda spokesperson said “Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit are out on patrol in the Knockbrack area of Letterkenny as we have received a lot of complaints in relation to dangerous driving/diffing in the area today.

“Gardaí are monitoring the area and are conducting checkpoints/vehicle stops.

“One vehicle has already been seized as it was deemed to be in a dangerous condition.”
