A community group in west Donegal has hit out at the ‘outrageous’ theft of one of their signs.

“This heritage sign, erected by our group telling the history of Owennamarve, has been removed, complete with its stand which was set in concrete,” a spokesperson for Doochary Development said.

“This is an outrageous act and an insult to those whose memory it was erected to honour.”

It is believed the theft occurred sometime yesterday (Thursday) afternoon.

If anyone sees this sign, its frame or has any information regarding what happened, please report it to Milford Garda Station on 074-9153060 or the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.
