Donald Trump is visiting Ireland this week on a short trip to see his golf course in Clare.
The former US President landed in Aberdeen in Scotland yesterday morning to cut the ribbon on a ‘spectacular’ second golf course. He is due to land in Shannon Airport on Wednesday before travelling to Doonbeg on the west coast.
Trump had to dramatically cancel an earlier trip planned to Scotland and Ireland at the beginning of April due to being arraigned in New York after his indictment following an investigation related to hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels. Trump has consistently denied having an affair with Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.
This week’s tour is Trump’s first overseas trip since he became the first former U.S. president to face criminal charges.
