Seamus Coleman is hopeful for a full recovery after suffering a grim knee injury against Leicester on Monday night.
The Everton skipper gave fans a positive update today to say he hasn’t done any lasting damage.
In social media post shared by the club this morning, Coleman said: “Just wanted to update you all, thanks so much for all the well wishes, just back from my scan & pleased to say I have no ACL damage. Be back soon”.
Coleman was praised for his leadership while being stretchered off during Everton’s 2-2 draw with Leicester City. Despite his pain, Coleman thanked the fans with applause as well as handing instructions to teammates as he departed the field with his side 2-1 down.
