Some of Donegal’s most exciting restaurants celebrated success at the YesChef Ireland 2023 awards.
More than 500 guests attended the event in Dundalk last night to celebrate the crème de la crème of the hospitality industry.
Among the Donegal winners were Whoriskey’s Cashelard, who scooped the all-Ireland prize of Newcomer of the Year 2023.
Quay West in Donegal Town also won a national prize for Seafood Restaurant of the Year 2023.

Rising Star of the Year 2023 went to the team at Ubiquitous Buncrana.
The Railway Tavern in Fahan won Steakhouse of the Year 2023 and the Ulster prize for Traditional Gastropub of the Year 2023.
The Strand Road Bar & Kitchen in Falcarragh was Highly Commended in the Traditional Gastropub Category.
Also in Fahan, The Red Door won Country House Restaurant of the Year 2023 and two regional awards: Ulster’s Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year 2023 and Irish Culinary Experience of the Year 2023.
Chandpur Indian Restaurant Donegal Town celebrated being crowned as Ireland’s Indian Restaurant of the Year 2023.
BEFORE in Stranorlar scooped the Ulster prize for Front of House Team of the Year 2023.

Johnny’s Ranch in Ramelton won the Ulster award for Street Food Restaurant of the Year 2023.
Redcastle Hotel was also Highly Commended for Casual Fine Dining Restaurant of the Year 2023.
