Gardaí in Donegal are receiving regular reports of scams in circulation by text message, phone call and email, with some pretending to be from Electric Ireland, Amazon and even An Garda Síochána.
The advice remains the same. Do not click on any links supplied in unsolicited text messages or emails. Do not disclose your
personal/financial information.
Should you receive correspondence claiming to be from your bank/energy supplier/ delivery company etc. and you are unsure as to the validity of the content then please contact that company directly using a verified number or email address.
Do not use any contact method supplied in the correspondence you received.
Please be alert to scams and advise elderly/vulnerable relations in relation to them also.
If you have fallen victim to a scam please alert your bank and Gardaí immediately.
