Sadness at passing of Letterkenny woman Barbara Grimes

There is much sadness across Letterkenny and beyond following the death of Barbara Grimes (nee Herrity).

Barbara was the wife of the late Frank Grimes, one of the founders of the Four Lanterns fast-food chain.

Along with her husband, Barbara was a huge part of life in Letterkenny for many years sponsoring countless sporting teams and charities.

She is predeceased by her husband Frank and brother Peter.

She will be sadly missed by her children, sons Kevin, Sean and Oran, daughters Marie, Edel and Anna, their partners, her grandchildren, great-grandchild and her brothers and sisters.

Removal from The Eternal Light Chapel of Rest, Mountain Top, Letterkenny today Sunday 21st May at 5pm going to her late residence. Funeral Mass in The Church of the Irish Martyrs, Ballyraine, Letterkenny on Tuesday 23rd May at 11am followed by burial in the family plot in New Leck Cemetery.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers if desired to The Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital.

House private please at the request of the deceased to family and close friends.
