Tragic Rebecca Browne will be laid to rest on Friday.
The 21-year-old hairdresser was killed when she was struck by a Garda car on the outskirts of Buncrana in the early hours of Sunday morning last.
A huge turn-out is expected at St Joseph’s Church in Galliagh at 10am on Friday for Rebecca’s funeral mass.
Her burial will take place after the funeral mass at the City Cemetery.
A full investigation is still being conducted into the cause of the crash which led to Rebecca’s death.
Rebecca died after being struck by the car at 3.15am on Sunday morning after being out with friends that night.
She had traveled from Derry and was booked in to stay the night at a local premises at Ludden, Buncrana, just yards from she he was killed.
Tributes have poured in for the young hairdresser who was described as being “bubbly” and “full of life”.
She worked as a hairdresser at Sage Hair and Beauty on the Spencer Road in Derry and her work colleagues and friends are said to be “distraught” at her sudden passing.
A Go Fund Me page set up by friends to pay for Rebecca’s funeral costs has reached almost £7,000 after an initial target of £3,000.
