Another water outage has been reported in the Rossbracken/Manorcunningham area this Friday morning.
Residents of the Rossbracken, Corkey, Raymoghy and Manorcunningham have been impacted by a series of regular outages in recent years.
Today’s issue has been reported to Uisce Eireann and is expected to be resolved ‘soon’.
Mayor of the Letterkenny-Milford district Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly is encouraging residents to log their issues with the company.
“Although I have recently gotten Irish Water to apply for funding to have a permanent solution put in place, I urge residents to keep logging this issue with Irish Water every time it occurs. I’ll keep doing the same until we have this fixed permanently.”
A major upgrade is in the pipeline for the water infrastructure in the region. It was revealed earlier this month that Uisce Eireann is making an application for funding to reinstate the pipes serving the area. If the application is successful, the works should be commencing in 2024.
