Rathmullan Tidy Towns will be giving away free kitchen food caddies in support of National Food Recycling Week.
People will be able to collect their free bin outside the Pier Building on Bank Holiday Monday the 5th June from 10am until 1pm.
These caddies are not the same as using a compost bin but there will be a free pack of liners and an information leaflet included with each caddy.
You can order your Kitchen Waste kerb side 25ltr container FOC from your Refuse Collector just like all other bins.
These food waste bins can be left out with the general waste bin on collection days, so check with your service provider for costs, as different company prices may vary.
The giveaway is supported by Donegal County Council, and they will also be giving away free compost at Bryson Recycling Centres during Food Waste Recycling Week, so check online for further date/times regarding this promotion.
