Gweedore revellers will soon be able to party well into the night as the famous ‘Dodge’ nightclub gets another revamp.

‘Massive plans’ are soon to be unveiled for a new purpose-built late-night venue.

The once-legendary Dodge closed its doors suddenly in 2012, and while the reopening post-Covid was greatly celebrated, there’s even more to come.

The development has been teased by Gola Hospitality Ltd, who are also finalising The Social Hotel Complex at the former Ostán Glenveigh.

A statement on social media said: “We’re super excited to announce today that the journey has now officially started after a 10 year absence of a purpose built late night venue in the region.

“We cannot wait to show you our massive plans for The Dodge Gweedore Late Night Venue currently providing 3 large venues with even more to come… AND our sister business (An Social) also have huge news on their plans as they finalise their renovation of the hotel.

“The people of north west Donegal and all our visitors to our beautiful area deserve to have one of the best places in Ireland to go every week an enjoy a fun night out with something for everyone

“Lastly, from the Dodge Gaoth Dobhair, management and all staff, we would like to thank everyone for your lovely messages and well wishes since we started, we have been inundated and it is so much appreciated. Go Raibh Mile Maith Agaibh Uilig.”
