Finn Harps were hot for six as they were comprehensively beaten by table-toppers Galway Utd.
Dave Rogers side were hoping to build on a win and a draw in their last two outings.
Galway Utd …6 Finn Harps …0
But it was always going to be a big ask against Galway who were at home in Eamonn Deacy Park.
The visitors went behind after just four minutes when Darren Clarke bundled the ball over the line after a header from Regan Donnelan.
Clarke was the provider again as he slipped in Killian Brouder for a simple close range finish while Stephen Walsh added Galway’s third with a neat header.
Harps foudn themselves 4-0 down after just 20 minutes when Maurice Nugent rose highest to head home a corner from McCormack.
That’s the way it remained until half-time but Galway were soon 5-0 up at the restart after Walsh fed Manley who curled in a beautiful effort to beat the Harps ‘keeper Tim Hiemer.
Hiemer did his best in injury time to thwart Galway from adding to their tally.
Hiemer was forced to take Lombato down in the area as he rushed through on goal resulting in a penalty which Dave Hurley dispatched into the top corner past the German netminder to add to Harps misery.
