Gardaí in Lifford are seeking to speak with a man who intervened in an assault last week.

A teenage boy was allegedly assaulted by an adult male in the Murlog area of Lifford a week ago.

The incident occurred on the street of a local housing estate on Saturday 27th May.

A passing motorist stopped to halt the attack.

Gardaí say that the young boy did not require medical attention for his injuries. However, they are keen to speak with the passing motorist to help with the inquiries.

The person is asked to get in touch with Letterkenny Garda Station on 0749167100.
