‘Mindless’ flower pot vandals caught on CCTV

The owners of a Letterkenny clinic have given an ultimatum to vandals who smashed their flower pots and hanging baskets at the weekend.

The damage was carried out at the Foot and Ankle Clinic on Castle Street, above the Market Square, sometime between Saturday evening and Monday morning.

“It’s a disappointing message to have to put up,” they posted on their Facebook page.

“We always have several pots and hanging baskets filled with flowers up outside the clinic this time of year. It brightens up the clinic and we love it.”

The flowers and soil were also smeared over the front door and handrails.

“It was just mindless vandalism serving no purpose. We luckily have CCTV which we will be going through now and contacting the Gardai. However, if the persons involved contact me directly and apologise, it will go no further.”

Anyone with information should contact the clinic on 07491 28262 or Letterkenny Garda Station on 0749167100.
