Met Eireann is warning of a risk of heavy thunderstorms across Ireland today as the warm and humid weather prevails.
Highest temperatures today will be 20C to 26C, while scattered showers in the east this morning will push westwards across the country later.
Donegal could see periods of heavy and thundery downpours with the potential of spot flooding during the day. Munster and Connacht will see the worst of the showers overnight.
It’s not all rain, however, as there will be “good dry spells too for many places”.
Showers will die out tonight, becoming largely dry and clear, forecasters say.
“Although, mist and some fog patches will set in again. Remaining relatively warm overnight with temperatures not falling below 14 to 16 degrees. Very light northeast breezes.”
Tomorrow, Tuesday will have similar conditions and a mix of “very warm or hot” weather with possible “heavy showers or localised thunderstorms”. Top temperatures of 24 to 27 degrees on Tuesday.
