Deep sadness following passing of Donegal businessman, Fintan Callaghan

Condolences have been shared from across Donegal and beyond following the death of Inishowen businessman, Fintan Callaghan.

Mr Callaghan, the founder of Callaghans Electrical, passed away at the Beacon Hospital Dublin.

Callaghans Electrical staff have paid tribute to their founder, colleague and dear friend.

“Fintan will be well known to all customers of Callaghans Electrical going back over 50 years and will be sadly missed by all. He leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten,” they said.

Callaghans Electrical in Letterkenny and Burt will be closed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week and will remain closed until Saturday 17th June at 9am.

Mr Callaghan is the beloved husband of Margaret, much loved father of Eimear and Dermot, father-in-law of Kevin and dear brother of Angela, Sylvia Carton and Dessie. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, brother, sisters, his extended family and friends.

Fintan’s remains will be reposing at his home from 11.00am on Wednesday, 14th June. Removal Friday morning, 16th June, at 10.30am to St Aengus’ Church, Burt for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by interment in Burt Cemetery. Requiem Mass can be viewed on www.churchservices.tv/burt.

Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am and on the morning of the funeral. Family flowers only please, donations, in lieu, to The Donegal Hospice c/o any family member.
