Two lucky lotto players have shared a whopping €12,747,755 in last night’s jackpot prize.
And Donegal Daily can reveal that one of the winning tickets worth a life-changing €6,373,878 was sold in a Donegal shop.
The National Lottery is expected to make the official announcement later this morning.
Last night’s lotto jackpot was the biggest of the year so far.
Since the Lotto game launched in 1988, only 28 jackpots in excess of €10million have been won.
It’s the third lotto win in less than a month in Donegal but by far the biggest.
In May, Kelly’s Centra in Mountain Top in Letterkenny sold a cool €1M winner.
And less than two weeks later Lady Luck shone down on Donegal again.
This time it was the turn of Doherty’s Centra in Moville to sell a ticket for a €250,000 jackpot.
And now lotto fever has struck for a THIRD time.
