Twin Towns councillor Martin Harley is tipped to be the next Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council.

The Fine Gael councillor is set to replace Fianna Fail’s Liam Blaney next week.

The official election of the new Mayor will take place at the council’s Annual General Meeting next Monday.

The Ballybofey businessman is remaining tight-lipped about the move.

However, under a power-sharing agreement on the council, Councillor Harley is expected to take the position.
