It’s hard to believe it’s 20 years since Mickey Joe Harte took to the Eurovision stage with his iconic green guitar.

But ‘We’ve Got The World’ is back, and better than ever!

The iconic song has been re-released today in Irish for a great cause.

It all started back in March when the Dermot and Dave Show on Today FM held ‘The Big Busk Challenge’ in aid of Focus Ireland.

Show producer Cathal Minogue went above and beyond by bringing in Lifford star Mickey Joe Harte to perform his 2003 Eurovision song as gaeilge. The version was an instant hit, so Cathal and Mickey Joe went into the studio to meet fans’ demands for a full version!

Continuing their goodwill efforts, Dermot and Dave challenged their audience to donate up to €10,000 to Focus Ireland to have the song released.

Today was D-day, and it was revealed that an incredible €14,000 was donated to Focus Ireland’s homeless support services.

The song was released with a fun music video featuring Dermot and Dave as backing vocalists and backing dancers.

The single is expected to be one of the big hits of the summer… while some fans are calling for it to have another run at the Eurovision Song Contest!
