Plans have been approved for a new Islamic Community Centre in the heart of Letterkenny.
The Letterkenny Islamic Association has been given the green light for the development on the High Road.
It will see the former first floor Donegal News offices converted for community use, including five times a day prayer meetings.
Two objections were lodged against the proposal. However, they were both returned as one was not accompanied by the €20 fee and the second was submitted outside the statutory five-week period.
