Donegal is set to be hit with more downpours and windy weather today – with no sign of a let-up in the rain.
Met Eireann is forecasting widespread showers or longer spells of rain for northern counties, with thunderstorms possibly later in the day.
It will become increasingly windy too. A status yellow Small Craft warning is in place all coasts of Ireland.
“Cyclonic variable winds, becoming northwesterly, will reach force 6 or higher on all Irish coasts,” forecasters say.
It will continue to be wet and windy tonight with widespread showers, some heavy.
Sunday is also set to be wet with some dry spells and some sunshine between the showers.
The outlook for the week says: “Current indications suggest continued rather unsettled weather with showers in the afternoons.”
