A young man has died and four other people were injured, one seriously, in a two-car collision in County Tipperary last night.
The collision occurred on the N24 in Ballykisteen shortly before 9pm.
A 19-year-old man, who was a passenger in one of the cars, died and his body was removed to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The driver of that car and another passenger, both male, were taken to University Hospital Limerick, where the passenger is said to be in a serious condition.
Two people in the second car were also taken to UHL, with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The N24 in Ballykisteen remains closed for a technical examination and local diversions are in place.
