Don’t miss a great night of music and dance as James and Lucy Peake bring The Sounds of The Carpenters and Tom Jones to the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny!

The big band show takes place on Friday 21st July, also featuring the sounds of ABBA, Fleetwood Mac, Barry White, Neil Diamond, Pavarotti and many more!

James Peake’s big voice is back with a new big voice in the form of Lucy McPeake, his youngest daughter.

With a career of 35 years in the music business, James started in the local clubs around Belfast, entering the odd talent competition doing his apprenticeship before forming a few small bands.

Then he started to get noticed by agents, one being Michael McGill from Warrenpoint.

“Michael then got me to put a band together and that was the start of the James Peake Experience. One of the first big shows was playing with “The Killer” himself, Jerry Lee Lewis,” Jame said.

“I couldn’t believe that me and the band were on the same stage”.

James had a very busy career with that gig, along with singing in the song for Ireland, and travelling all over Europe with Andrew a young a saxophonist who asked him to sing on his album “Magic Life”.

Then COVID struck and with it the lockdown, which was a bad time for us all.

James continued: “However, the one good thing to come out of it was when I started a music Thursday night live on Facebook from my own house. My daughter Lucy who is 17 (would sing for us at home, but wouldn’t sing in front of anyone else) started singing on the live show every week, so that has progressed now to singing with me in the hotels and clubs.”

Lucy says “I love music by Harry Styles and Sam Fender. Mammy and Daddy always played great music in the house, when I was growing up, i.e Fleetwood Mac, Toto, The Eagles, The Pretenders and Blondie etc. which I sing with the band. When I heard The Carpenters’ music I found myself singing along to their songs, and now I’m singing them live on stage”.

James says “That’s what gave me the idea to put the big band together”, with his big voice doing the sounds of Tom Jones and Lucy singing The Carpenters.

“The second part of the show is a mixture of songs from Fleetwood Mac, Barry White, Blondie, Elvis, etc. “Already, we’ve played five sell out shows, and now looking forward to our next big show which will be The Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny, Donegal on July 21st this year, with me and Lucy and our seven piece band, it’s a big show, hope you all can make it.”

Tickets are only €20 and available at Mount Errigal Hotel, call: 00353749122700 email info@mounterrigal.com
