Breaking: Four seriously injured in crash in Donegal

Four people have been hospitalised following a crash between Termon and Kilmacrennan this Saturday afternoon.

The casualties are all female, aged in their teens, 20s, 40s and 60s.

Emergency services remain at the scene of the collision, which occurred at 3pm this afternoon on the N56 road.

Both drivers and passengers of each car were removed from the scene to Letterkenny University Hospital.

The road is currently closed in order for Forensic Collision Investigators to carry out an examination of the scene. Local diversions are in place.
