The Donegal Donkey Sanctuary has issued a public appeal to save a baby donkey.
A little foal was born in Co. Cavan on Friday, but sadly his mother rejected him.
He is in urgent need of a foster mother.
Danny and Sandra Curran, founders of the Raphoe-based sanctuary, have called on the community to help.
“If someone has a mare who has just lost her foal or maybe has a very quiet mare who would allow a second to feed could you please contact us as soon as possible,” they said.
