Works have commenced onsite at Moville Community College.
Earlier this year, Minister Charlie McConalogue received confirmation the school had been approved to proceed to construction under the Large Scale Capital programme.
The project will consist of a new build extension to the current school which will accommodate up to 550 pupils.
The works are due to finish by April 2025.
Commenting, the Minister said: “This is an exciting day for all the Moville Community College community. It is great to see works beginning and this follows a very productive meeting including representatives from the school, Minister Norma Foley and me recently in Donegal.
“The project is a game changer for the school and for Moville and will massively improve educational offering.
“I thank all of those involved with the project.”
