Malin RNLI will be holding a raft race, 5k, 16k Challenge and family fun day on Sunday 30th June to celebrate their 30th anniversary and raise funds for their lifeboats.

The 16k Challenge will begin at 11am from Banbas crown to Malin town, followed by the 5k from Lagg to Malin town at 12pm.

Registration for both will take place from 9.30am in McClean’s marquee.

16k entrants will be brought to the starting line by bus at 10.40am and 5k entrants at 11.40am.

All prizes are kindly being sponsored by Inish Pharmacy and Patrick Mc Gill.

There will be plenty of family fun to be had on the Green with music and entertainment from Typhoon Generals and other local groups, from 2pm until 5pm.

The raft race will finish off the day at 5pm. Entry is €50 per raft and €10 per kayak.

Lifejackets must be worn at all times and all children must have parental/guardian consent. There will be designated drop off and collection points for rafts/kayaks on the day.

Sponsor sheets are available for participants of the events on the 30th of July at the following locations; Farren’s Bar, The Seaview Tavern, Malin, Donegal shop, McClean’s Bar, Malin shop, McGuinness’ Bar and Culdaff shop.
