Sean MacIntrye’s 2023 President’s Prize
Sean MacIntrye’s 2023 President’s Prize last weekend was a great success. Sean hails from Strabane and has been a member for a number of years. Sean is also a member of Strabane Golf Club and is a well known GAA referee in Tyrone.

The club was hit by some bad weather last Saturday but golfers managed to finish the golf and then the play-off in some tough conditions. A fantastic morning score of 45pts (1 over par) off 10 by Brian Geaney he was the clear leader by 5 pts in the morning and followed it with another 17pts for a fantastic total of 62pts. Patsy McVicar followed his morning 40pts with another 20pts fantastic golf to secure 2nd place in wet conditions.

Ladies Competition
The Ladies Competition on Thursday was won by Hannah Gallagher with a fantastic 41pts.
Shoot-Out
On Wednesday 19th there was a good turnout for the shoot-out. Congratulations to John McDermott who beat the Club Captain and the Club Presidents in the shoot-out final. 1st John McDermott. 2nd Vincent Collum. 3rd Sean MacIntrye. The scramble results are on display in the club.
The club would like to thank Michaael McClafferty from the Strand Road Bar & Kitchen for providing the catering last Saturday. The golf course and greens were in great condition thanks to Philip McGeady and his team.

Shaun McGarvey’s Minor League team beat Ballybofey & Stranorlar Golf Club with, Joe GAA McGarvey and Vincent Collum securing the win. They meet Cruit Island Golf Club in the next round.
Junior Scratch Match
Paul Doherty’s Junior Scratch match was cancelled due to weather and will be rescheduled to this Saturday vs Strabane with 5 games at home.
