Benny’s Summer Shindig hosted in memory of the late Benny Gillespie from Loughanure in aid of the Donegal Hospice is back again next month.
With it being such an incredible fundraising success for great charities last year, the family will be running it again on Thursday, August 3rd in the fabulous Caisleáin Óir Hotel.
The wider ‘Packie Sally’s’ family of musicians are always the first to roll up and offer their talented support for local causes down through the years and generations.
They used to land home from Glasgow and sing and play for two weeks solid before returning back, but their absence always left a void until their next visit.
Their music has always added to the local community.
This event is in memory of one of their own, Benny, who sadly lost his life to cancer, but last year they raised a staggering €17,000 at the event for Donegal Hospice
They will be joined again by many talented musicians and bands, and there will be a raffle and auction on the night!
It’s sure to be a great night for a great cause!
