Local Coldplay fans have been left high and dry after waiting hours to snap up tickets for the band’s four Croke Park gigs.
Hundreds of local fans went online his morning at 10am hoping to grab the golden passes for next August 29 and 30, and September 1 and 2 – as part of the band’s Music of the Spheres world tour.
But fans were left gutted after waiting online for an hour watching the number of people in the queue dwindle before being told there were no tickets left.
Some fans were offered tickets for €390 each.
Fans vented their anger on social media.
A spokesperson for Ticketmaster confirmed just before 11am that tickets had already sold out in just under an hour.
“Coldplay were super popular this morning, and tickets are now sold out. Sorry to those who missed out this time,” they said.
“Please keep an eye on our official Fan-To-Fan Ticket Exchange for tickets becoming available at a future date.”
But local fans were fuming.
