Donegal’s Kinnegar Brewing team are going the extra mile today to fund a defibrillator at a popular Rathmullan beach.
The 24-hour challenge is well-underway to raise funds for a life-saving device at Kinnegar (the beach that gave the brewery its name).
Since 3pm Friday, they have been brewing up a storm with the aim to keep moving for 24 hours straight.
The core team of 14 players at Kinnegar Brewing, bolstered by summer interns and students, are joined by former teammates from Munich, New York, and Vancouver as they run, cycle, hike, swim, horse ride, and rollerblade to help fundraise for this worthy cause.
The goal was to raise €1000, but such is the support, that they’ve decided to raise the target and use the excess funds to contribute to the servicing and maintenance of the defibrillators in the Rathmullan area.
Saturday morning began with a community walk at Kinnegar and the 3pm finish line is well within sight.
