Bright start but risk of more heavy rain later – Met Éireann

There will be some bright or sunny spells early today with, again, a few well scattered showers. 

During the afternoon however, rain and drizzle will arrive, turning heavy in places especially across the northwest with possible spot flooding and isolated thunderstorms. Humid with highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius. Becoming breezy later too with freshening southwesterly winds.

Tonight will be mild, humid and breezy with further scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, heavy and persistent at times. Lowest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees Celsius in fresh west to southwest winds.
