Gardaí have reissued an appeal for information on an assault in Ardara which left a man with serious injuries.

A young man in his 20s was hospitalised after the attack on Ardara main street at around 10pm on Saturday night.

The victim was removed from the scene to Letterkenny University Hospital to be treated for what Gardaí described as non-life-threatening, but serious, injuries.

As of this morning, investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this assault to come forward.

“Any road users and pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were on the Main Street (N56) in Ardara between 10pm and 10.30pm on Saturday 29th July, are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí,” a garda spokesperson said.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Glenties Garda station on 074 955 1080, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
