A number of fundraising events for the volunteer RNLI lifeboat crews across the county will take place over the coming weeks.
Dunfanaghy Bucket Collection
The annual bucket collection will take place in Dunfanaghy on Friday 4th August and Saturday 5th August, so your support would be greatly appreciated. All collectors will have a copy of the relevant Garda issued permit and wearing the recognizable Yellow bib.
Sea to Summit Run /Walk
The annual Sea to Summit Run/Walk takes place this coming Sunday 6th August in Fanad, approximately 15k. Registration in the morning at the Community Centre Rinmore, Fanad from 8.30am with race commencing at 10am. Fee only €20 and family rate available. This is a fully timed event, and regrettably, no dogs allowed. Refreshments served afterwards.
Crab Crawl
Gartan Open Water Swimmers will host a Rathmullan Crab Crawl on Wednesday 10th August at 7pm. as part of their ‘On Tour series’. Registration from 6.15 pm and swim starts at 7pm. This is a ‘Predict your time’ event with Vouchers for the three closest times plus the fastest. €15 to enter and all proceeds to the RNLI and the Sheephaven Sub Aqua Search and Recovery unit. 16+ years only, wetsuits or skins, your choice. Tow floats are compulsory and a waiver must be signed. Extra kayak support is always appreciated, so if anyone is available, please contact Keith 086 0882236 to discuss further.
