Coffee lovers of Clonmany and beyond are invited to a special fundraiser during the Clonmany Festival in memory of Rose McLaughlin from Isle of Doagh.

All funds will go towards the Donegal Hospice which provided wonderful care for Rose prior to her passing in December.

To give thanks, Rose’s family are hosting a morning of warm cuppas and fresh homemade cakes at the Parish Hall in Clonmany on Friday 11th August, from 10am to 2pm. All are welcome to support this fantastic cause. There will also be tea and sandwiches and a draw to win prizes kindly donated.

Rose’s family said: “The Donegal hospice provided amazing care to Rose during her illness where she spent 4 weeks in November 2022 and later during her last few days in December 2022.

“The community nurses that attended Rose while she was at home and were always available to us by phone and the doctors and nurses and all staff belonging to the Donegal hospice who we can never thank enough for their medical and personal care to Rose and to us making her so comfortable in every way.

“It’s such a fantastic special facility and we hope our fundraising efforts go some way to help someone’s loved one, their family and friends in the future.”

The coffee morning promises to have coffee, treats, and a whole lot of compassion for the Donegal Hospice.

“At this special event, we’ll be serving up freshly brewed coffee, a delightful selection of teas, and delicious homemade treats to tantalize your taste buds. So gather your friends and family and come along,” the family said.

“The Donegal Hospice plays a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to those facing challenging times. By attending our coffee morning, you’ll be contributing to the essential services they provide, making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

“Your generous donations and contributions from this event will go directly to the Donegal Hospice, ensuring they can continue their incredible work with the utmost care and dedication.”
