Gardaí in Ballyshannon have charged a man in his 20s in relation to a number of burglaries that occurred in South West Donegal.
He is due to appear before Letterkenny District Court on 31st August.
The male teenage juvenile, who was also arrested on Friday morning in relation to this investigation, has been released without charge. A file will be prepared for consideration for admission to the Garda Youth Diversion Programme.
The pair were arrested on suspicion of committing a number of burglaries in the Kilcar and Ardara areas. The alleged offences were said to have occurred between January and August of this year.
The two were arrested following a planned operation by officers in the Ballyshannon Garda District.
A number of items of stolen property were also recovered during the operation.
“Investigations are ongoing,” a garda spokesperson said.
