Cycling Ireland held their Team Pursuit and 500m TT Elite national Track Championship at Sundrive Velodrome in Dublin on Saturday 5 August.
Ireland’s best track cyclists battled it out in difficult weather conditions to see who would be crowned Irish champions over various disciplines.
Among the riders taking part was Gaoth Dobhair cyclist Clodagh Ni Ghallchoir who is attached to the UCD cycling club.
First up for Clodagh was the team pursuit over a 4km distance, her 4 woman team just pipped into second place and the silver medal.
In the afternoon however Clodagh came to the top in the 500 TT.
Racing as an individual this time she put in a great effort to take the Gold medal and the Elite National Champion title, a title she won before in the junior U 18 rankings a number of years ago.
Clodagh caught a plane later on Saturday night and headed to Belgium for a series of race meetings over the next few weeks.
She will return home to Ireland for the National Circuit race and part two of the Track Nationals towards the end of August.
