The Donegal Wild Atlantic Way Ultra Cycle Race has come to a fantastic finish in Letterkenny after 24 hours of epic cycling across the county.
New records were set in the 555k course by ‘the Moynilty Muppetts’ at 15:22:21.
Cranford’s Christopher Birney was the first man home in the 333k race at 10:53:15. The winning unsupported male was Tony O’Doherty at 12:17:21.
The first female home in the 333K was Siobhan Coyle at 17:14:07. Eve Mc Dermott won in the female unsupported category at 17:52:10.
The winning two-person team in the 333K were the ‘Brothers in Action’.
Michael Flood from Monaghan took the honours in the 555K solo race at 19:57:36. The winning unsupported male was Mervyn R Kinkade at 21:38:05.
The solo female category was won by Alison Higgins who finished 22:56:31.
Bohermeen CC were first across the line in the 4-person team category while Errigal Warriors won the 6 Person Team Category.
