There was a great turnout for the Convoy Community Inclusion Family Day held on Saturday.
Due to the damp weather, the venue changed from Convoy Arsenal pitch to St Marys Hall in Convoy.
The event was supported by DLDC and local community groups. Local and new residents received a warm cup of tea and sweet treats from all around the world
The hard working committee organised many family friendly activities such as kite making, obstacle course, football darts, Irish dancing, interactive music workshop, face painting, arts and crafts.
This event was only made possible by the hard work and many efforts from local committees such as Convoy Boxing Club, St Marys GAA, Convoy Arsenal, Convoy Environmental Committee, Convoy Guides/Brownies, Convoy Covenanters Church and Scoil Bhride.
Local and well known legend Fergus Cleary officially launched the family event with his warm words of welcome.
The many local businesses also supported this family day with donations of marquees, gazebos and supplies.
