Gardai are investigating claims that a man was carrying out a lewd act in public on a popular West Donegal beach.
The incident allegedly happened on Thursday last, August 17th at Carrickfin Beach.
A woman out walking with two young girls came across the man as he committed a lewd act on himself.
The incident happened between 3 and 5pm in broad daylight.
The man is described as being in his late 50s or early 60s with grey hair.
He was around 5ft 7 inches in height and wearing grey shorts and a grey top.
Gardai have appealed for anybody who was in the area at the time and noticed the man to contact them.
