The Lifford-Stranorlar Electoral Area is the highest in the country when it comes to adults still living at home.
According to the latest Census data from the Central Statistics Office (CSO), one in six adults in the east of the county are living with their parents.
The CSO yesterday released the Profile 3 data, an insight into the family situations and living arrangements across Ireland, as well as a look at figures surrounding childcare.
The number of Donegal families living in rented accommodation increased by 7% to 8,875.
The figures show there are also 16,436 people living alone in Donegal, an increase of 5% since the 2016 census.
Of those, 7,734 were aged over 65, an increase of 18% of that age group living by themselves.
The number of children aged under 15 living in the county fell by 950, with 32% of those in some form of childcare.
