More than €4,000 was raised recently which will go directly towards saving lives at sea around the Donegal coastline.
The very successful Crab Crawls organised by Gartan Open Water Swimmers held a series of events in Portnablagh as well as one off events in other locations to encourage more participation in open water swimming which offer secure and safe environments for participants.
Thanks to all of the swimmers, kayakers, timers and everyone involved, who ensured the success of these events including Reive & Pat’s Kitchen for their contined support.
A magnificent sum of €1,445 was presented to each of the nominated charities, the RNLI Lifeboats and Sheephaven Sub Aqua Search & Recovery Unit.
Included in the pictures are some of the swimmers on the last Portnablagh Crab Crawl presenting funds to Derek Little (Lifeboats) and to John Joe Rowland of the Sheephaven Sub Aqua.
The second annual Sea 2 Summit run/walk also took place on 6th August last and thanks to Sponsors MOWI, Eco Atlantic Adventure sports and Carraig na Ron for their support.

Well done to all who helped organise these events and those who supported them to make our seas a safer place for all.
